Website seems to be back
Yes, the website for GXV is now part of the StoryTeller website. The Springfield MO (not MS) facility is very busy building the GXV Epics and Mike and Rene are still there. I think the Epic may be the only configuration available and custom trucks may not be done anymore. Not sure how much you can customize a Hilt.Looks like the GXV website has gone missing in action again. I tried to access it several times this week to no avail. Perhaps the StoryTeller group is the only source for info on GXV now. Wonder if Michael and Rene are still involved in custom vehicles. Also wonder if the facility in Springfield, MS is still in use. That was a very impressive building.
I expect Mike and Rene may be ready to return to overlanding South America full time after developing a successful business that was inspired by their South American travel in their Unimog truck. Good luck to them. Sale of the business to Storyteller was a wise move to transition the business to another successful entrepreneur. The end of an Era as it were.
I dont disagree, I imagine being back on the road. And not being tied to your phone would be a nice, and well earned change.I expect Mike and Rene may be ready to return to overlanding South America full time after developing a successful business that was inspired by their South American travel in their Unimog truck. Good luck to them. Sale of the business to Storyteller was a wise move to transition the business to another successful entrepreneur.
Next is built in the GXV facility in Springfield MO, not at the Storyteller facility in AL where the Hilt is built. Next is very much a GXV design compared to the Hilt, dual pane glass windows from Outbound, Mastervolt lithium batteries and electrical system, typical GXV cabinetry, and the different floor plan than the Hilt.I just noticed the new GXV Next, priced the same as the Hilt but with a different floorplan and specs. I haven't dug into the details yet but it's nice to see other options coming up
