Saw a Tacoma with what appeared to be the flat bed four wheel pop up on it going through Spanish Fork Canyon on Valentines Day, it looked really good.

John,

I will have a Hawk and a Fleet. Sorry if I missed your email, it must have gone to spam or something.

We are doing a custom Flat Bed with a Hawk UTE for a customer out of Helena, MT, but I will not have one at the Missoula show. I am sure he will be excited to show it if you would like to see it.

Thanks,

Denny

Denny - thanks for the info. My wife and I will do our utmost to attend. We really like Helena, so maybe we can end up visiting there some day and seeing the Ute....

Please post a bunch of pics of this new rig! Better yet, a video walk through. I'm sure all the Portal members would like that.

It does affect the fuel economy with some wind drag, the noise is not much of an issue. I think a nice fairing device would help.

Looks pretty cool.
I have a family of four so I would need to figure a way to have some kind of drop down bunk bed while utilizing the table as a bed, too.
Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult.

Stan, have a few questions for you, some probably stupid, but I haven't owned a camper before and am SERIOUSLY considering the Fleet UTE flatbed camper. So Serious, I just stopped by the Jackson Hole shop and the Woodland, CA shop just 2 weeks apart, to check out the flatbed camper. Unfortunately due to my piss poor planning, both were closed. Anyway, the questions are...

1). Can I order the camper with the front overhang extended out, flush with the rest of the overhang? I think it might have been asked earlier, but I don't recall seeing an answer.

2). If I sourced my own windows, like those from GVX or XP Camper that have screens and shades built into them, can you guys install them?

3). Can the UTE bed with sliding cargo drawer be used on the truck, or is there not sufficient room for it?

4). Can FWC have the lock keyed to use the same key as the vehicle's ignition key? If not, is the lock one where a local locksmith could rekey it?

5). If I were to pull into a campground with paid sites, can the camper hook into the available campground water supply and use that water for showers, etc, instead of using the campers 20 gallon water supply?

I think that's it for now. I'd love to come down to Woodland again and check out a Fleet UTE camper if you have one available to look at. Thanks!
