Still no a/c accumulator... so, another day in the back!
Got some luan down on the sides and made some 3/4 tops that will get upholstered with padding. The sides will probably get painted or rhino lined. I'll use similar stuff for the walls and headliner if I ever get there.
I'm (still)planning a little surfari as soon as I get the a/c working properly... Bummed I'm getting a late start getting out of town as this week would be perfect to be on the coast with such a pumping swell hitting right now...might still catch it tho'.... I took my kids to surfrider for lunch on the pier yesterday and it was already super good and super crowded... Late week is gonna be nuts.
Anyway, on to pics from today

Oh yeah, I had this little cargo net in the junkyard last month looking for gears to make into lamps. Fits perfectly! I had already mounted the plywood before I dug it out...it's like I planned it subconsciously.
A couple lamps too ;)

Not much to update with the van since I've been busy making furniture and lamps up the wazoo. Not complaining though
Anyway, got a bit more insulation in. Used the HF neoprene flooring and some Spray 90. Stuck it down over the existing Reflectix I installed this past summer/fall.

I'll get some panelling over it all at some point... Someday.

Started the Sienna seat install up front, not happy yet with my brackets, so I've bought some used slides from the junkyard to futz with in the interim. Don't expect pics of the seats/mounts yet. Patience. I've only done the passenger side anyways.

Bought an axle while I was picking a scrap yard/old tire shop a few weeks back. Scored on the price at $150 plus a couple lamps.

Made some progress.
Installed hood vents from ebay, fantastic roof vent, put some black rivets in my wobbly rear handle/license plate holder, got my solar system up and running, and got my Sienna seats installed finally. The seats were a big pita. I'm not sure yet if I'd go through that much effort again for what's a relative easy spot to put a seat...they're pretty nice after two days though....

Just ignore the filthy state of my van, we'll all be better for it. Plus, there's a drought.

How sketchy was cutting the hood for the vents? I've got Run Cool hood vents for my Jeep I'm just terrified of taking a grinder to my hood....

Super easy to cut the hood vents, it's fiberglass!
I also followed the lines on the under side as a general guide before measuring thrice.
Pretty much same procedure for a metal hood like the one on yer Yeep. More sparks, less dust.

Great van, any updates?

Thanks much :)

Nothing with pics really. I spent a wad of money on rebuilding my fuel system, then sunk a larger way more ridiculous amount into having a shop install eight new injectors, glow plugs, valve cover harnesses, etc.

I've also (finally) stared putting up some interior panels in preparation for upholstery, but I haven't taken any pics yet.

I'm also currently saving my pennies for brakes, tires, alignment, etc. AAAND, I've got a nice exhaust leak at the collectors/up-pipes that needs fixing (ordered the Dorman replacement pipes Monday).

Yesterday, Ramsey over at Agile was kind enough to give me some stock suspension parts to help get mine back on track... WOOT!

So, yeah there are a few updates, but no pics yet... soon :)

Wow, been a few since I've updated!
Mostly, I've just been using my van.
I have done a few things and been some places, so I'll just throw in some pics:

A few weeks ago, a chauffeur with poor driving skills pulled in front of me, then brake-checked me when I honked at him. So I ended up with a very minor dent, and he got an increase in his rates for failure to yield.

Which brings us up to date...
Building a front bumper!

Upper tube is temporary while I wait on some 1.75" DOM to show up, and while I wait on my new bender parts, then I'll wrap the upper tube around the corners. Didn't want to leave sharp edges on the brackets sticking out, so that upper tube is very lightly tacked in.

I'm building one of these benders so I don't have to drive and borrow time on my buddy's bender. We can also share dies.
Here's a video from the guy who is making the arms for me. Nice dude.

Oh yeah, last week I traded this:
