Those are nice but for that price I will take off work a bit early and drive during the day time. Wait, my Jeep came with lights so I don't have to. Maybe just drive a bit slower. Way to expensive for me. But cool if you can afford them.

Looks impressive. More so since pictures of lighting is hard as hell to get to be completely accurate. Almost certainly better than my TL's... but would also likely cost $650 or so to upgrade (figure ~200 in selling the TLs). Not sure if it's worth it at this point in time.

As for the JW Mopars, the Jeep rep at the Safari said they were "tooling up" to produce them at that time. He did not know a price or if they would require an anti-flicker harness in newer vehicles. The part number on the display was 82214333. I wonder if Mopar decided to wait and incorporate some of the new design into theirs. The bezel in the center of the light said "Jeep."

It looks like the spread has been greatly improved without sacrificing reach. I bought the 8700's last year to protect the deer on the way home at night. I often see as many as 100 in the final 3-mile approach to my cabin. Even with the 8700s I have now, I turn on the bumper-mounted Rigid 30" bar, but still don't get the spread I'd like. The Rigid bar has floods and spots, but still doesn't light up the side of the road sufficiently. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy a shorter bar with some smaller LED's mounted on each side angled out slightly.

I've already checked availability on the new 8700's and have been told "it shouldn't be long." I plan to replace the 8700s I have now and sell them on eBay.

I'll have a set of black ones in a few days. I'll try to test them alongside the older model and a set of the new Quadratec rebranded Peterson LEDs too.
These lights are raising the bar for LED lighting; I'm stoked.

I already run evolution 8700's. Far superior to stock. As for the cost, still cheaper than a rack or a fancy arb or aev bumper. Better lighting makes it more relaxing for me on long night runs, and I believe better lighting (and upgrading brakes) is as important to my overall build as a better suspension is. People spend more money on their stereos.
I just wish these came out last year.

Good point on the stereos. Yes, brake upgrades are a great thing to do as well. These new JWs look far ahead of the originals. Looks like their high beams are more in line with my truck lites than the original JW I tested against.

Aren't the KCs rebranded Petersons too? I read up on these last winter but am not recalling all the specifics.
Yes.
I haven't tested them but the photometry on them is decent. They're a bit more even than the Trucklites but not on a par with the old JWS 8700s or 8700 Evolutions.
The Evolution 2s will raise the bar still higher.

JWS has lightbars too. http://www.jwspeaker.com/products/auxiliary-light-bars/
And floods, driving, etc. http://www.jwspeaker.com/products/headlights/#product=500263
I've tested the TS3000R and it's a very good driving light. A bit spendy though...

I have the KC's and am happy with them but will be buying the new JWS light soon. The lighting on my sons LJ is pathetic so he'll be getting the KC's, at least thats how I justify to my wife the additional unnecessary expense...

Anyone have any pictures of these?

I have the Harley Davidson JW Speakers (only way to get 5-3/4" in chrome) on my '59 Cadillac and I have a 7" set that was on my Jeep but moved to the FJ-45 while the Jeep is being rebuilt. The Jeep will be done soon so I'll be needing another set.

It would be nice to have the Jeep logo on there... so... would love to know more... will they be the new and improved output or the same as the old 8700s?

I wouldn't buy them for the Jeep logo...it was barely noticeable. Here's a 400%-sized crop of an earlier image in this thread.
