Thanks for the props guys; so far I'm liking how it is turning out, couple more things left to do on the frame, finish air lines, run wires, fab up a fold out rear step, paint the frame and install nutsert's. ok more than a couple but its really close and then I can focus on the body.

Looking great!

What did you decide to do with the body? Leave it bare aluminum or is getting painted, polished and/or finished? Congrats for having THE coolest pop up build thread on this forum.

The body will be getting painted. Same color as my jeep, silver whith black in the middle.

Frame stripped and ready for paint; hopefully the paint shows up this week; Rust Bullet (black shell)

The body shouldnt take me very long at all; plan is to have the body work done, in primer, mounted to the frame and in paint in the next couple weeks!

Interesting alterations. I've got a 1972 Starcraft tent trailer that I'm not convinced I SHOULDN'T cut the sides open to make room for bigger rubber. I do intend to build a subframe to add strength to the original and add lift.

Frame Painted, 1st coat: metal etching primer, 2nd and 3rd coats: Rust Bullet black shell. Time to put it back together, install nutserts and start working on the tub!

Always enjoy watching people build their own stuff. Like the way you extended the draw bar to the X which is a unique characteristic of your frame. Wondering why you chose not to continue the drawback to the rear cross member. I always like the option of a class three hitch for bikes, rear cradle or recovery point.

It would interfere with the rear tire swing/carrier
