I installed the filter in November 2016.......maybe 3,000 miles on it

This is the first, and last time, I used Purolator

I sent an email to Purolator, hopefully they follow up

Looks like the part number is:
W715288S439

$8 for a pack of 4

Buddha.

Finally in expo white.
So, after taking a 400 mile round trip, I came back home and parked the truck in the shop

The next morning I noticed 4-5 small spots of oil under the truck

The skid plate was soaked with oil in some spots, obvious oil leak

So I popped the hood and the oil level was decent, not full but definitely not low.......lucked out

I took off the skid plates and started looking around.....I wiped everything down

I started the truck up and the oil filter got wet pretty fast

I was not sure if the oil filter gasket was leaking or the oil filter canister was leaking

I bought a new filter and some oil.........the old filter was on TIGHT, almost could not get it off

I installed the new filter and topped off the oil

Bone dry...........Did I install the filter too tight? I have been changing my own oil for over 20 years. Never had an issue!

Or, did the gasket fail?

Here is gasket, which appears to have a slice in it..........I cannot figure out anywhere else it was leaking from

Did you lube the gasket before install?

Not a fan about fashion over function, I usually try to prioritize function over fashion

However, I wanted to get rid of the amber side marker lenses on the tow mirrors and cannot see spending $100 on the smoked LED lenses from Recon (even though I have Recon smoked LED tail lights.....only $75 shipped used)

I bought these smoked LED mirror lenses for $29.98 shipped..........look decent.

I will get them installed this weekend and see how they fit and how they look

Very simple and very quick little mod

Tilt the mirror glass in, and slip a thin flat head screwdriver in to pull back on the clip, which holds the mirror lens in place

Remove stock lens, remove the two sockets and remove the two bulbs

I used some dielectric grease and black electrical tape when connecting them back

I also have a Corsa resonator delete pipe coming........should be here next week

I found an open box return online for $110 shipped, rather than $220 new

Well the light bar's wiring harness is installed and all hooked up...........unfortunately, I had to modify the LED bar brackets that I had previously bought, that was supposed to be for a 30" bar. NOPE!

End to end, my bar is a tad over 32", so I had to cut the brackets down, drill new holes and the paint is drying now

The bar will be installed tomorrow

In the mean time, my Corsa resonator delete arrived............very impressed with the quality

I will hopefully get some sound clips, before and after the install.......which looks VERY simple and straightforward

With a single row, I would have definitely had lots of room the play with

With the dual row, I found that each end of the bar was 3/8" away from the vertical grill supports

Took some adjustment, and then more adjustment......but it is mounted

Right now I have the bar pointed down at a 5 degree angle........I might need more, or less. Road test will show

Nice and concealed, no concern for theft
