Really stoked to hear you're expanding and keeping busy UJoint! :)
Just sold my E350 Diesel to my Brother. He'll be in touch...he wants 37-38's on it...pretty much the same vision I had for it.
But I've always had a GMC Safari and am going to be running a little harder in that direction and ditching the E-series lets me get another Astro/Safari in-house:)

hobietony...we have about the same computer skills Man! I've also been known to push my computer skills to the limit by printing off a pic...doodling on it...then scanning it back into the comp...:victory:

AmboVan is moving along. The front axle is in, and I had the tires mounted yesterday. The donor wheels needed a little TLC, so I had them blasted & powder coated.

Here's the UJOR stage 2 axle in it's new home...

And the fresh wheels/tires. 255/85/16 BFG KM2

^^^^These are getting me a bit excited now... ^^^^

No work on the topper for a week or so, catch up on the progress

2 layers of 6oz cloth over the whole thing, a little extra reinforcing at the corners, strip of 4" tape along the edges

Lightweight body filler as fairing compound. This part sucks.

Even 36 grit takes forever to sand down the point where you can tell where you need to add more compound to the low areas so you can sand it down to the point where you can tell where you need to add more compound to the low areas... Did I say this part sucks? Seems like a good time to cut out the windows so I have that much less area to sand.

Heading out to pick up the rig on the 26th, taking my skis, and going to make a run to Colorado to get some turns in before I need to be back to work the first week of January. Tough to get anything done on projects during the holidays, and looks like I will still have a bit of work to do when AmboVan gets in the driveway before I am ready to chop a hole in the lid. Of course if I had all the time I wanted to work on the van, I wouldn't have the $... Part of the deal, life interferes with my good time.

Seriously, they are cool, and having full standup height will make this one even better.

First thing, ditch those mirrors and put some telescoping superduty mirrors on there!

I'm hoping to find some junkyard doors off of an RV/delivery van/whatever, with the mirrors already attached, power adjust/windows/locks, and an interior panel that isn't crappy. No all-fired hurry, but I just need to keep an eye on the local scrapyards and see what shows up.

Transmission is out, rear springs are in (after a big battle with the stockers) and I started the OBA install today. We're using one of the rear boxes to house the Warn VTC & 2.5 gallon tank. Tony will be trimming the body, so I kept everything up high. Now I get to plumb & wire it up!!!

Lots of action at the shop, running wide open to get everything done. I cleaned up the wiring / plumbing in the OBA room ---

Sorry about the phone pics!

Here's a sneak peak of my new dual shock mounts, I'm excited about them & like the way they turned out. I'll post more pics once they're holding some 5150's --
