North Sonora, Mexico - October 6-8

Updated....!

Gawl dangit. Due to the RAIN at Rainbow Bridge this weekend, I'm postponing that trip until the 13th when it's supposed to be like this: :sunny:

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will have to celebrate life without us next weekend. However, I'll be doing this Sonora Stomp tomorrow and Sunday instead. Anyone in the area feel like going? I know, last minute. But miracles do happen.

Good question. It looks something like this: :smiley_drive:
Except we'll be doing it through some obscure Sonora, Mexico towns and visiting some of ol' Kino's missions.

Okay, okay. Stomp? It's sounds a lot like treading unlightly, don't it? <insert spitting and fondling crotch here> I thought I was being clever and alliterative with Sonora Stomp. :violent-smiley-031:

It means we're going to take a fun route to Penasco, stay one night, and come home. Wanna go?

Ah, I see. No wonder google laughed at me when I typed that in.....

Sorry, no can go. I have my jeep all torn up making some last minute mods before the ExTrophy. I need to get it back together tomorrow so I can go to Martinez Canyon on Sunday....and hopefully grocery shopping too (the fridge is getting pretty barren). If you take the eastern route (I-19/I-10), give me a hollar so we can grab a beer on your way through....

Mark, I flipped the dates on your two recent adventure threads. Let me know if I got it right or if we need to change it. How was mexico??

What about Clyne & the PM's?

:) Looks good, thanks Chris. Moderator Extraordinaire.

Roger and the boys will still be celebrating life on the 13 and 14 (they didn't respond to my requests to swap weekends. Friggin' rock stars). Brooke and I will be hiking to Rainbow Bridge instead.

Mexico: MMMM! We traveled a couple bouncy roads, and one that we probably shouldn't have done alone...but it was cool! :truck: Yet we made it to the sleepy fishing village of El Desemboque on the Sea of Cortez in good time. We passed up Peñasco altogether. I'll post some photos and a short report in a few days.
