Not for the faint of heart

Over the last 4 days my wife and I and another couple had an incredible camping experience on the West slope of the Sierra Nevada's in California. Temps dropped into the 40's at night and the wine list was limited but we got the job done in spite of the hardships.

We even had to hike a whole mile into the camp, what's this world coming to?

My goodness, we should hold a benefit for your suffering. That first picture must be of the interior of the latest ExPo trailer right????

Surely you're taking this to litigation. Preposteruos. Lesser individuals would have indeed parished.

Well done, lad!

too much fun! Would you recommend it?

I would absolutely recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from it all and be pampered just a bit. My wife and I are already pretty active and we used our time there as a time to just relax and read instead of try and fill the days with hiking and fishing.

We also enjoyed meeting other couples from areas around the country. Sitting and talking with the husband and wife owners was almost worth the trip alone.

So that is what Glamping looks like!

.

Looks like this would fall into the extreme glamping class.

Funny this should come up - my wife just read about this place the other day and was lobbying for a trip there. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Very nice! Reminds me of that glamping article posted in chat the other day.

Regardless of what anyone calls it, im glad you had a chance to relax.. we all need to unwind.

What altitude was the lodge at?

I stayed at something like this in Northern Thailand. It was good for the folks with me that weren't use to camping, let alone in the jungles of Thailand.
