Well, after driving a Power Wagon for many years, I have decide to take the plunge with a Rubicon added to my arsenal. The Dodge has become a 100% work truck. I owned a 1988 Jeep,, (AMC age?), anyhow, that was a gutless P.O.S... I was turned off to Jeep for many years after that. But THIS 2015 Jeep Rubicon is amazing! I love it. Jeep, you have done well! Here's to many years of adventures! :sombrero:

Welcome to the club. I too had an '88 YJ, but I loved it. Yeah, once I put 33" tires on it the best I could get was about 60 mph. And that's down hill behind a semi. Still had a blast with that thing. There's no comparison between the YJ and the JK. Enjoy your new Jeep!

Ha! Congrats!
At least your PW works...
I miss mine sometimes. When I tow. That's about it.
I'm loving my Jeep too.

What's the deal with the hood shroud/cover thing on the motor? Seems to me it would help to overheat the engine? I tossed mine. Anybody have incite on those?

I love my JK but I've always had a thing for the PowerWagons. I'd love to own one, but they're expensive and quite a bit bigger than I need.

I know! I can't believe I own both finally. The PW has about 120K on it and as taken quite a beating being used as a forestry contractor work wagon, but I love it and will never part with her! I have almost , on many occasions upgraded to a big diesel truck because I tow so much, but I use it off road so much I just can't make the switch.

Great vehicles! We have a '12 Rubicon and a '14 Grand Cherokee Overland Diesel. We looked at a new Power Wagon but decided to pull our off-road trailer with the JGC. The new Power Wagons are really huge. I just towed my 3k lb. trailer from northern NM to the Sierras and averaged over 18 mpg. Interstate at 75 mph kills the mileage.

I'm really "hoping" what we heard quoted from the dealer meeting comes to fruition on the P.W. That would be the one vehicle that could get me out of this Jeep.

Pretty cool that Fireman78 has both! If it was me, I'd have a cot in the driveway, so I could wake up looking at them each morning. :)
