Can you post a few up close pic of how you have your jack attached please..

I will try and get those tonight. I used some angle brackets from the electrical department at HD, and some 1/2" carage bolts to grab the track. It doesn't move at all, then the other brackets are framing brackets that have extra nail holes in them so my quick grips and be moved up or down to adjust for the item being locked down. Those I used some spring loaded (minus the springs) anchors that slide inside of super-strut to anchor in the side tracks since the shovel and axe aren't very heavy.

Had to take the truck in to have a mystery sound figured out, now it is at their body shop because apparently it is in the front fender area somewhere. They think it is either a spot weld or body seem, hopefully will get it back tomorrow.

Here is a pic of the mount. Basically it is an angle bracket, and a 4 hole straight bracket over in the electrical department at HD. Then 1/2" carrage bolts with lock nuts, slide the carrage bolts down the track, set the mounts where you want and your done. The hi-lift is nice and stout with no movement.

Got the truck back finally, it turned out to be a bad body mount under the driver floor board that was forcing the fender to rub on another seam making the noise.

The creek is back sort of for the third round. Turns out it was the pinch weld area that was shifting on each other making the noise. The body shop drilled a hole and spot welded which fixed it for a few days but it is slightly back so back to the body shout for maybe a few more spot welds.

A couple more mods this week and I will get all of the pics up.

Well here is what I have been up to the last two weeks. Installed ICON stage 1 Coilovers and shocks, Dakar rear springs, 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers, 265/75/16 Falken Rocky Mountain ATs, Co2 bottle, and a Cobra 75 CB in the console, and also Stubbs HD-SKO sliders with the legs shortened 3/4" and gussets added. Just got it back tonight and hopefully the squeak in the body is over, they said they found the source and welded so we will see.

Sorry I missed ya at the rally, was looking forward to checking out the new truck. Stayed for a bit, got rained on, got some good info from VMI and decided to head back to the city. If youre up for a trail run sometime soon, let me know!

Nice looking...

Wondering how much lift your coilovers are giving you/set at? and what your CV axle angle is like?...

After wearing through my inner CV boots in 25K miles after the OME/886 combo I am thinking about switching to the icons and leaving them at 2" of lift to bring down my front end...

Actually the ICON's are set at 2" right out of the box and that is what I left them at for now. The Dakars are a little high in the back but they should still settle down after awhile from what I'm told so I will wait to doing anything up front until that point. The CV's fins are not touching and when I got the alignment with the stock UCA's they were right in spec.

So far all of the mods are working out except for the rear ICON shocks. They are sending me a new set here in a week or so whenever they get more built. These have a squeaking noise at real low speeds, I talked with ICON and tried spray silicone grease on the shafts, checked the upper bushings but in the end it sounds like the seals aren't right. They work and perform great but that noise is just enough to drive you nuts and a higher price shock like that should be quiet like the front ones.
