Do the Triton type of water heaters have the ability to just run cold water through them?

Or does it always ignite the heater when you open the feed line? I haven't had time to do any research on them yet....I guess I will do that now before I ask any more questions.

That's a great question. I've got one and I don't know. I have hot and cold water going to the faucet, so I've never tried to run cool water only. Would be easy enough to shut off the gas and run cold water through the Triton though.
