I am not talking about your build. You did not start the thread.
If you did not understand the point I was making then perhaps others may be confused so I will make it again.
I was able to build a brand new (FRESH) 4x4 SMB by starting out with my used SMB 2WD version and then having Chris at Ujoint
put all his goodies onto it. That meant that I had all new hardware on the VAN with his 4x4 stuff plus other goodies he never stops thinking up.
To me I would rather do the conversion with Chris and have all new 4x4 hardware over buying a used 4x4 SMB with 100,000 miles that has been off roading already.
I do think toolman is right about how much money can be saved by doing your homework and making the list of must have's
and the items that you probably will never use much.
I had 2 SMB's. Sold the one completely decked out by SMB as it was too cramped. Kept the one that had the Penthouse only and a few
other cabinets. That is the one Chris is doing his magic one.
