Orange Camel Trophy Trucks?

Hey guys, being mostly a jeep guy and knowing very little about LRs, I need your help in answering whether or not there were orange Camel Trophy trucks in 1995 or if somebody just stuck the stickers on an orange Discovery trying to bump the price up. I've seen G4 trucks in orange, but thought all Camel trucks were yellow.

Thanks,
John

The G4 Challenge is completely separate from the Camel Trophy, even though they are in the same spirit. The Camel trucks are all yellow. The G4 Challenge trucks are all orange.

The Trek vehicles were orange. Series of competitions between LRNA dealers. But that was early 2000's I think.

Thanks guys, it's a 1995 on Autotrader and I emailed the owner asking some questions about it, but he never replied.

It's painted orange with a blue stripe and a Camel trophy sticker on the door. It just didn't seem to add up. He is asking $8000 for it, which seems pretty high based on what I could find book value wise without some cool story of pedigree.

If it's orange with a blue stripe , it's more than likely a G4 that some numbnuts put a CT sticker on. G4 are nice but not as valuable as a TReK. Only 15 treks a year were produced. Givin the fact that someone put a CT sticker on it , tells me they're not an enthusiast. That being said I would be leery of buying it. And at $8,000 , it's no bargain.
Also , G4's weren't produced in 95'. This sounds like a disaster all the way around. I would walk away.

I just saw that ad. Run away...far. That Disco isn't worth much more than $2k. Look to be a stock 95, auto, 111k miles with a Camel Trophy sticker (crooked) on an orange disco1 with G4 stripe. Lol...

If you are thinking about a rover, there are plenty of good ones under $10k. Read the stickies and get informed. They are great trucks.
