I am working with the organizer in France. Nathan and I are working hard to define navigation and mutual gear lists, etc. I hope to report more details tomorrow afternoon

The biggest challenge so far is finding an efficient navigation method. It looks like Ozi explorer will be the best plan.

Chris Scott has been kind enough to send over some 1:250,000 scanned maps.

Good job, Chris. You get an 'A-'. Would have been an 'A' (I never awarded an A+ in twenty years of teaching. ) except for the "no clue" part.

03/05/06 Dernier challenge et remise des prix translates to "Last trial and awarding of prizes".

I've used 'trial' in place of the cognate 'challenge' for the simple reason that I believe that in English for rallies of this type trial is the more common word. Not a big deal...and it would not have diminished Chris' scholarly effort. :D

PS - Although this probably doesn't need a mention, don't forget that the month is the second numeral in the above dates.

PS2 - Scott, I'd be delighted to accompany you as your official--or semi-official--translator.

You don't mention my ticket. Does this mean my application was turned rejected:( ?

LOL at Flywgn. ;)

So, did you retire from your current job Scott? You must get more vacation time than I do! :D

Congrats to you and Nathan.

Well, not retired yet... The benefit now is that when I leave on adventure I make (some) money doing that too. I do not have a salary with IMS or Expeditions West, so I just get what is left over after expenses and salaries, etc.

Certainly not complaining though... I have over 100 adventure days planned for 2006 :D
