Located about 30 minutes South of Tucson in Sahuarita AZ. It is actually in between Tucson and Amado if you are going to Overland Expo.

My youngest son John and his mom. We were at the annual picnic for the trap range at the gun club.
And here his mom and 'Nanna' are giving him some ''nuggies' as his 'Pappa' watches.

My wife and I adopted a boy recently and had no children prior to. We have been fosterparents since last Nov. when he was only 5 months old. His adoption went final in the begining of August. Well we hadn't had much of a chance to take him on a "trial" camping trip or 2 before heading out on the 2011 UP Overland trip. He turned 14 months old a few days before we left. We had no idea how he was going to do. Luckily, this was how he was most of the trip of 3 nights rough camping.
After he had been up in the rooftop tent, he started liking being up in it a lot too. He was just squeezed between the wife and I. Here he is picking out a camping spot at High Rock Bay.
One more of him patiently waiting for one of his favorite things; FOOD!
I wouldn't have believed it had someone told me in Sept. of 2010 my wife and I would have adopted a baby boy within a year. We didn't get that 9 month prep time most people get! We are both in our 40s (its not easy chasing a little one when you get older!) and have only been married 5 years but he has been a huge blessing to us and we enjoy every minute we have with him. Knowing our Sawyer loves camping makes it even a bigger blessing!
