Outpost Truck Campers

Ya wanting g to see if they could make front floor storage a shower pan and use a geyser system. I also want to switch the cassette toilet out for a wrapon bag system. Price is hard to beat compared to competitors

They offer a collapsible shower enclosure now.

Indoor Shower Enclosure - $385

This collapsible shower enclosure gives you the ability to shower inside your Outpost 6.5! If you select this option we will add hooks to the ceiling of your Outpost 6.5 where the shower curtain hangs from that is then attached to a portable shower basin with magnets.

I have a couple of questions, for anyone who may know, regarding the dimensions of a camper on a full size truck (e.g., 50" between wheel wells).

Assuming 2" thick walls, it would mean the interior would be around 46" wide on a full size truck (at the base). My question is, how close can the door be to one wall? How many inches would be lost, am I looking at like 1-2 inches? Basically I need to know from the inside of the Artic Tern Wildlands door how much room I would have on the long side. Somewhere around 19-20 inches?

The weather cooperated nicely when we made the trek across Nevada and Utah a few weeks ago to pick up our camper. The guys at Outpost were great and after spending a bunch of time in my camper I will vouch for the quality of their work. The quality of their craftsmanship, and the camper’s components and materials are top notch.
I am especially happy with how well this type of camper is insulated and the near zero condensation. Filled the diesel heater’s tank somewhere around Durango 25 days ago and it’s still over 2/3 full. The only really cold(for us) nights were the first few on the way home which were in the low to mid 20’s, and the amount of fuel spent was negligible.

It’s a really well thought out camper. Very comfortable space for two and a dog.

I'm not grasping what you are asking, but if you can clarify what measurements you need I can gather them

It's Very hard to make the bed orientate the other way around while working with a limited interior space. The overall goal was to create a camper for smaller trucks with all bells and whistles without going over the payload limitations.
Cheers and thanks for the feedback!
One way to do it would be to take this exact design, but make it for an 8 foot bed. Simply add 18" extension to the bed, and now you have 76" long for a north > south bed. The area under this 18" extension could be used for a larger fresh water tank and batteries, freeing up the under-sofa area for a supplemental chest freezer or storage. Would love to see this option in the future from Outpost.

That's exactly how I made mine. The forward part of the camper and under the berth is a prime place for storage, especially heavy stuff. Have the berth hug the cab roof, and get rid of the basement...
