over power is it an issue

Might be a dumb question, but I am planning a power system and cannot find the answer anywhere. If I have shore power hooked up to a battery charger/tender, the charger puts out 14v while charging. And if I hook my fuse block directly to the battery will the 14v also go to my fuse block and over power the 12v systems. Do I need to put in a voltage regulator between the battery and fuse block to make sure no more that 12v comes from the battery?
thank you!!

With the possible exception of older Max Air fans, all 12v accessories are fine up to around 15v. And most run a lot better at 13v, at least.

Yes

Your charging system, voltage regulator, charge controller, will limit the charge of the battery, usually about 14.4V. You will want a fuse between each appliance in case the appliance has a short and draws too many amps, but the battery will only supply the 14.4V.

On the other end the voltage regulator in the charging circuit waits till voltage drops to maybe 11.4V before charging the battery.

Zero need for a voltage regulator on the output side of the battery.... just fuses.

During my experimental phase I ran a 16V pack made from recycled lithium ion polymer cells. The only thing I ruined was my Maxxair fan. In about a year of use nothing else failed or caught on fire. Probably a case of a fool (me) rushing in where angels fear to tread but just proving that 14.4 volts isn't to be concerned about.
