Just registered! We are newbies to overlanding and recently purchased an expedition vehicle, so this will probably be our first real trip. We can't wait :wings:

I went to the OX09 as a newbie to overlanding and for me it was a great investment in time & money so much so that I registered for OX10 also. I will spend more time on the indoor classes/seminars than I did this year, but still plan on doing the driving courses also. The other thing I plan to do is take more time going down and coming back, enjoy the journey more thats what overlanding is all about, Hope to meet you there :safari-rig: Doug

Fantastic Doug! Graham and I just got back from scoping out the venue for the driving courses - we're planning some fantastic improvements, out in the Forest Service land, with a focus on specific overlanding skills -- set up in "skill stations" rather than one class trying to cram everything in. And we're de-emphasizing "four-wheel-drive" and emphasizing "skills for overlanding." That way the few people who expected "wheeling" type activities will not be confused this time!

Cheryl - you will get info by email as time moves on, meanwhile the site "Venue" page has lots more information for planning your routes and days!

Are you signed up?

When people sign up we let them know that you will receive the course sign-ups as soon as we can have them all set up and ready to go - early 2010 is what we've been saying. We're still in the process of lining up instructors, programs, etc. With over 35 to do, it's a logistical challenge!

This year we are also having a lot more free workshops and programs for day passes.

Stay tuned - we'll let everybody know just as soon as they are ready!

We are adding a lot of free demos, mini workshops, and roundtable discussion programs in the Exhibitor area for the day pass as well as Overland Experience people. It will be awesome! And the Overland Theater is open to everyone, too.

There are going to be some amazing new products debuted at Overland Expo as well.

It's the Overland event of the year!

Dogs allowed?

My wife and I are trying to arrange time off to attend. We typically travel with dogs to save kennel fees - are they allowed at the event?

We promise to camp away from everyone and keep them leashed.

Dogs are indeed allowed - in fact there are more dogs coming than kids the last time I looked.

Does that mean there will need to be a doggy daycare also to go with the kids version?
This event is gonna be beyond cool...last year set a standard, this year will up the bar, imagine 10yrs from now!
