Overland Rally: Expeditions West Announces Regional Overland Rallies

For those of you who are not familiar with Hollister, it's an amazing location for this type of event. The park is divided in 2 sections - one for 4x4 and one for motorcycles. There is a great camping on site with a stage, showers, toilets and shade and the atmosphere is very casual and private.

Hollister is a usual hangout spot, and although I know they are planning on a trail run on the High Sierras that weekend, maybe we can convince them to stay

Fantastic idea... here's another plug for the May 2011 event in the UK...
Don't forgot Sam Watson's RGS Overland Workshop in the UK. If you can make it over the Atlantic, I am sure we can host you!
The RGS Overland Workshop attracts plenty of current overlanders, and future overlanders to an event that focuses on various workshops and plenty of discussion.
This year Sam arranged for Tom Sheppard to give a talk so we eagerly look forward to next years agenda.

Hollister Hills is less than an hour from where I live in San Jose, and I've been there often. Heck, I even have a geocache there... I'm looking forward to hearing more details!

We expect the events to be very affordable, most likely in the neighborhood of $80-85 per person for ExPo members for the weekend and a daily camping fee. We do not plan on having "day passes", as the goal is for this to be a rally, where people come to participate for the entire weekend.
