Gmrs installed when not in use there is not much to see. Or even in use all you see is the hand held, it has the display and speaker on the hand held so there was no need to have it exposed.

My swing out kit arrived also some more overland group stuff (hat and sticker)

I was very happy to see the swing out kit was from a real company and not just an Amazon reseller.

I'm in the process of selling off my Toyota projects to help fund the suburban project...I shouldhave the funss for the steel for the bumpers tomorrow. After putting my 82 back together I hate to part with it, if I would have got the body put on the 4runner frame I doubt I could have gotten rid of it.

I didn't realize how much Toyota stuff I had hoarded up until I decided to use it to fund my suburban project.....while in the process of moving one of the toyotas I pulled both beads off a tire...and just so you know you can reseat a tire with two dislodged beads with a harbor freight air compressor and ratchet strap.

Cut here... not as high as I want but if I go up any higher I will need to ca the end of the body mounts.

Whoever the engineers are that thought this was a good idea.....well thanks. I removed the steps to get a good look at the rockers and I am pleasantly surprised that the rust only extends to the first seam from the rear. Also got to measure for the sliders. Looks like 90ç will work fine.

Went out and did a little fishing this weekend. Caught bait then went to the Mississippi river and tried to catch a couple days worth of dinner...quality time with my son either way.

2wd you can see the g80 still works. You can see its a decent low speed locker.

If you want to hear new noises from your truck just pull the insulation and carpet out....now you have all kinds of noises to chase.

Just tacked up a piece of pipe (yes pipe) as a test to see if i will even like the look....but i can show off that aluminum splash plate I made.

The simple project's are always relaxing. Time to pull the tape off and build brackets to hold the wheel well portion of the bumper cap up
