Yep that’s what I’m trying figure out. I think I’m going to use gussets that have a hole in them to use as tie down points for ratchet straps.

Also picked up something off of marketplace I’ve been wanting for a while. It’s not made for the burb but it fits good enough

It was bellow 100F today so I got out in the shop and worked on getting the gussets and tie downs put on brackets. I also figured out how I’m going to mount the awning.

Finally the paint dried enough to handle it, I got the rack on. Yes it’s hard to see and yes it was on purpose

Had to extend the awning mount out a little bit more I had it wedged against the rack to keep the quick removal bracket from rattling but it had the awning u shaped. Also mocked up a fairing because that rack starts roaring at about 40 mph.

Been working my but off to get ready for the back the byway event. Figure out the fold down table without cables. Plus I can sit on it without breaking it. No rattles when folded up either. I still need to river the top on, I’ve been looking for a road sign to fit it but all the local road crews have gotten strict on giving out old signs.

So this happened while on the DBBB I still haven’t been able to find another knuckle. So I’m starting to think I might have to go ahead and swap to tons.
