image.jpgSo I know for sure now that my passenger side sunroof drain has rotted off. Dose anyone know of a link to get in there to fix it?

Anyone know a quick fix to hold us over we have 60 to 100% chance of rain the next couple of days and I have a playscape for my son filling my garage right now.

You need to replace the entire drain tube. The new one you will get has a slightly larger nipple and won't work on the old style tube. the passenger side is really kind of a nightmare to do as there is very little room to get it reattached to the body. Most people remove the central junction box which is a pain in the *** because the wire harness is super short and you can barely fit your hand behind it to get it unplugged/plugged in. It is possible to do it without removing the CJB, but it takes a lot of patience and a second person to grab the nipple from the outside.

The quick fix would be to tape around the edge of the sunroof from the outside so that water doesn't leak in to begin with.

Hi TJ, not sure if it will work on your passenger-side problem, but I had a leak on drivers-side when the elbow for the through the metal juncture disintegrated. Rather then buy the entire system of tubes and such, I went to local h/w store and bought some flexible tubing slightly larger than the drain tube, and then attached that snugly over the existing tube. Then I simply routed it out the path for the drain tube. Apply a little caulk, and 3 yrs later, it's still dry. In retrospect, I think I intended this as a temporary fix, but after going through a few monsoons with proper draining, I got to thinking the workaround fix is probably just as good as the failed-model original equipment.

That what I'm thinking of doing. I have some tube that should work. It's just getting in there around the fuse box.

If you are going to go through the trouble of removing the CJB to fix this why do a hack repair when you can just fix it with the proper parts?

I hadn't gotten off the CBJ off yet and was able to fix it with some tube I had at the house. It drains well through the tub and out of the car now. Pulled the hose up then glued the new bit of hose on. Then I fished it back down the fender. I was able to just a small hook to put the tub back out of the truck. Done for now.
