A few snapshots
First is one is somewhat ExPo related...
This was after we'd driven back to Sibley Mansion and then had dinner at a kind of weird restaurant in Mammoth, AZ. My best friend Donald had flown out to Tucson for a visit while I was living out there and enjoyed getting to meet a few of my friends.
A photo from that same trip. Everyone kept saying "Wait until Darin sees his shrine." I was disturbed. What are they talking about? Ahh, I see...
My grandfather, here at 80. Born and raised in The Great State of Texas (must be in caps, of course). Visiting Austin. One of the greatest guys ever. Robert Bachman. He is missed.
Finally, the passing of knowledge to the next generations. My grandfather (left) and his brother Larry(right) spent some time teaching my uncle, my cousins, me and my brother(center) how to make the old family recipe of German sausage. It was a great opportunity and I'm glad we took the time. Grandpa died 2 months later. This was 2 years ago almost to the day and as I said above, he is still missed. Every day.
