Phil's Adventure Tacoma

Update: I have opened and closed the tent for showing and practice a total of 8 times since Saturday. The tent is fantastic. The cover.....eh, could be better.

Look what happened after the 8th time.

That's pretty bogus, I'd be asking for a new cover... :costumed-smiley-007

Yes, it sucks. I contacted Camping Lab so I will see what he says. At the moment I am trying to fix it with a wet suit zipper. It might be too big though.

Phil, check with some local marine canvas shops around town. I don't know about Grotton, but I have seen plenty of places down south that make canvas bimini covers. They may be able to help you out with the zipper or make a cover when you can. Looks great BTW.

A brand new tent should not need a custom cover.
I just hope the tent has a higher quality standard than the cover.

Phil, how does the quality of the tent feel?

The tent seems perfectly fine for the price. Yes, it is a $700 tent, but compared to the more expensive ones I have played around with, its pretty damn good. No complaints with the actual tent.

I think as a long as I can replace the zipper slider I am golden. I'll try to find a canvas place. Should not be too hard around here:)

I am about to head to work, but I decided to give the zipper on my wet suit a shot instead of heading to a marine canvas shop. I need to get to work and be able to visit my grandmother in the hospital tonight which is an hour away. It is also raining out, so I did not want to be driving around without the cover fully on.

As you can see it was not a perfect fit and a few teeth here and there are now messed up. I had to do something. I can't be driving around without it zipped up. Hopefully, when Fernando sends a new zipper pull the teeth will go back to normal.

I would demand a complete new cover.

Just my .02 amigo :costumed-smiley-007

If Fernando wanted to do that then fine, but I don't want to push something like that. Just the way I am. When I don't like a company I am dealing with, I have no problems demanding them to fix a situation. Camping Lab is not on my you know what list. If I have the problem again, then yes I will do that.
