Pics of your Ambulance. Post Up!

I was looking through some pics today and came across one of your rig hooked up to your truck and it occurred to me. There is no reason (or excuse!) that you can't slap half a ujoint kit under that bugger and get 'er up on some 35s. Give that camper some 'tude man!

Oh, I have already checked into it and priced out the components. I'm not sure 35's will fit without cutting the wheel wells, and I'm not going to do that, but I do need as much ground clearance for the body as I can get since I'll be dragging it through the boonies.

Once I get it loaded and sitting on a flat level surface, then I can see where it will be sitting and make an educated decision on how high to go.

I'd be curious. Mine clears 37s back there with room to spare, no cuts.

Well, if they fit on yours, they should fit on mine since ours are almost identical with the exception of the the fender flares which you removed and gave to me. How much of a lift did you add? I know my stock springs are just about worn out too, so I'll just have to take some more measurements to see.

Ringers Lactate and D5W, the miracle juice of choice for that doctor on the other end of their wireless phone. I have no idea why I remember that useless bit of trivia.

Squad 51 calling Rampart, come in Rampart. Lol we were watching that here at the station this morning before we started running calls

Haha, yep, that's the place. Cool shows when I was a kid but I got the point I can't really watch any of those weekly dramas. Especially these cop shows where their lab looks like something out of Minority Report and every case is a case of the century. Most cops will go their entire career and never have that kind of case, but these folks get them every week. What luck! :)

Nice looking rig, Tribe. Just curious, what kind of bracket did you use to mount the awning? I am trying to mount one on mine as well.

Yep yep, this. I want to mount a couple of awnings but don't really want to mount a huge roof rack that I won't otherwise use.

Just got back from Wisconsin to VA picking up my latest project! 1992 F-350 7.3 idi 4x4 with 32k original miles! its a Wheeled Coach and did the 1k mile trip flawlessly. I plan to make it more comfortable, powerful, but I think its a good place to start!
.....Any of you IDI wonders out there feel free to give me ideas on best performance mods.

Nice, very clean looking! I don't think I've seen one with the extra wide rear doors. I wonder if it was a Bariatric Unit?

Thanks, from what I understand it was never used as an actual ambulance. It was a military unit on base in Wisconsin for some time and then used by the local PD at the airport for a tactical vehicle/back up unit. It was always kept inside and NO rust which is nuts for that area.
