Thanks, it's an 08 exc 530. I call it my cheater bike because it's so easy to ride.
Jb1rd, I made it out of 1.75 tube. I filled the tube with sand and used a hydraulic bender. The shackle mounts came from ebay. I borrowed a tubing notcher for all of the joints. Then had it powdercoated satin black. I wish I would of welded some tabs in the lower part for some kind of screen or expanded metal.

Just back from my van's first big trip... Going out, it was getting 15-17 mpg. I think everything was breaking in and the computer relearning because on the way back it got 18.2. A lot that was at 75 on the interstate...

I wonder if that had to do with the fact that it is all uphill on the way from Kansas to the continental divide, and all down hill on the way home :sombrero:

I like those sliders. Weld on or bolt on? Do you have any pictures of where they mount to the frame?

Bolted to the frame. I'll get a pic up soon.

The sliders are bolted to the frame in 3 places.

I also tied them into the pinch seam due to a small amount of flex in the mounts.
