1994 E250 , came with really poor insulation that I tore out. Also came with a lumber rack which is perfect for my roof pod, kayak and to mount my ARB awning to. Here she is when I brought her home. This will be an April to Sept camper[/URL][/IMG]
Things done so far:
remove old insulation
re-insulate
built storage and raised bed using 2"x12"
fixed ignition, pass tie rod end.
bought ARB2500 awning
Things left to do
Carpet raised floor
Finish insulation
cut & cover panel walls
install Ipod stereo.
come up with roof insulation plan
Sweet beginnings you have there!
Does that roof rack happen to have a company name on it? Planned in trying to make my own but if I could find one like that for cheap on CL then I can save a lot of time!

Towing my Dad's boat after he damaged his hitch in the rocks.
First beach launch attempt
My Dad was down there with his big GMC diesel and truck camper towing the boat. We wanted to run a long rocky road to a remote mission outside Bahia de los Angeles, and another trip out to Laguna San Ignacio. It was much faster to strap some chairs down to the floor of my van and run high speed out and back for these trips.

It has been miserable weather since we got home with the bumpers last Tuesday. I took this shot (remember it's my wife's DD) on my way home with my cell camera...the wife was still working , ( Anywhooo... I will absolutely put up some new and improved pics next week. The weather man is predicting sunny skies here on the Oregon Coast!
The box on the street side is the 20" tall 3 jerry can open/lockable box + rail. The box on the camp/curb side is the locking 20" tall galley box + rail.
Also, we chose to have them put on the front bumper just cuz we had an extra $2500 bucks to burn...haha. Wow what a bumper! We went with the upsized 2" tubes and the matching cross tube. It is a great fit!
Ah, as a PS thought... I'm sort of anal when it comes to wanting as much symmetry as possible. No I don't line up the labels in the cupboard! ; )
That said we went with the 20" high galley box rather than the 30" for two reasons; 1) the jerry can box can only be had in 20" height + rail above, and 2) the 30" high galley/gen box just didn't look right to us as it was above the lower level of rear window and we would not be able to easily utilize the above rail area during kitchen prep.

It's just a Curt front receiver and a portable winch cradle with a 9,000 pound T-Max competition winch from another project. It's pretty low, but I haven't scraped it on the ground too many times. I'm changing to a WeldTec bumper anyways.
Looking good! I like the idea of teh additional storage on the rear, but thinking of getting a Rola hitch mounted box instead.

Van project #3
I have 3 projects going at once. Just installed a front lift kit on this 2000 2500 2WD Express, it went higher than I expected, now I have to lift the rear to level it out, then it gets some aggressive tires, winch, roof rack, lights etc. The 1st pic is before the coil spacers, the last one looks level but its not, squats, ordered rear blocks yesterday, hurry up UPS I got van stuff to do!
UPDATE: Here's what the "little white school van" looks like now, have put nearly 900 miles on the lift and tires, so far Im very happy with it, has great attitude and big height. Just added 2 inches of lift in the rear, need longer shocks now, added a Thule rack, rocket box, K&N air cleaner, center caps and 265/75/16 Toyo Mud Terrains. I didn't realize how tall the roofline really is on these vans, I can barley reach the rocket box while standing up in the side doors but it makes for great shade, lol....

Adding the bedliner to those areas will sure increase the longevity of the rig. We did ours w/Rhino Liner and would do it again, right off the showroom if possible.
