That is not that bad at all. I think my D1 was taller sitting on 255/85s. I am looking to get a shorter version of what you have. Did you open the wheelwells up or do the flares make it seem bigger? Has anyone opened the wells at all? I am wondering if there is enough room with that lift to put slightly taller rubber in there?

YES!! I'm glad to see another 4x4 vanner wheelin the snot out of their rig! I've been given a lot of **** for building my 4x4 shorty, but I keep telling these fools to just wait... My buddies are gonna crap their pants the first time we go vertical and all they can see is blue sky...in a van! lol

Thank you for posting this as well. I am looking for a van because my wife wants to be able to sleep inside if possible. I want something that I can also take to ORV parks and trails and have fun with. The photos you quoted make me confident that I will be able to do just that.

Viggen, stock fenders. I'm loaded down in that pic: dirt bike and gear. I think there is plenty of room for 35s. Ask Chris for sure.

Camping / hunting last weekend

My 1995 Quigley G30. Pretty rugged trail up to this point but nice view.

That certainly does look like there is enough room. Might lose out on some uptravel but it should not effect droop. Even loaded down there would not be much of an issue there. I will never have that much weight in the back of my (eventual) van so a 4" is probably going to fit the bill. I sent a message to Chris just to be sure.

Do you have a sliding door or barn style doors?

Adirondacks and The Kancamagus just before the big color show....... I take the big show for granted, if you have not seen new England in the fall you really need to make it happen..........

Saw a 20 pax bus parked for sale and decided to check it out. Got some photos of my van next to it. I drooled a little bit thinking of all the space, but I prefer my large rear doors and ease of parking.

Viggen, I have the sliding door with the mgmetalworks extension hinge. It clears the tire easily and just touches the flare. The rear axle is an 03 Sterling, which is narrower than the 05 that Chris prefers.

Sweet little campsite located on Washington Hwy. 20 near Gorge lake. The campsite is all set up... no wait my bag chair isn't out. You gotta love van camping!

Spent the weekend scouting the Kern River for the maiden camping voyage in my van, bixel. 2003 GMC Savana 2500 AWD with the PRO Access package I picked up back in May. The van is amazing and everything I could have hoped for. Ill get around to a build sooner or later. The AWD Chevy/GMCs seem to be the hot ticket on Portal as of late and I can see why.

I love the way those "windows" pop open!
