The DRZ is awesome. I have one as well, with two oem wheelsets. I love being able to swap wheels - I've got it down to under an hour with a chain swap and brake caliper bracket swap. A friend of mine rocks his drz sm off road with the slicks and does excellent. Pilot Powers are the way to go. Be sure and check out thumpertalk for all the common fixes and used S wheels.

2009 KLR

Here's a pic of my KLR from an early Spring ride last year from Kansas City to California and back. This was at the top of Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado. Please note that I was carrying an "Expedition Pizza" under my river bag.
