Hey Pat how flexible is your time? I'm hitting the road again here in a couple days and should be sailing right past you on rte.10 3-4 days after we bug out. Headed to Maine via Florida from Ohio (short cut) and I might be convinced to slow down enough to toss those fender flares you been wanting out my window on the way by. Interested?

When you get ready, let's exchange cell phone numbers by PM and then we can make sure we find each other. Maybe, I can meet you at a restaurant near I-10, and we can tell some lies and get a bite to eat or something, if you have time. Are you going to be driving the ambulance or something else?
I can also bring that console and a few other loose parts I have you may want. And if you don't, I'll just take them back home and that way you won't be stuck with them.
I'll be in the "something else" category. A red F-450 and about 41ft of tri-axle fifth wheel. Wherever I stop will have to have a monster parking lot. I cant remember the actual itinerary, the wife put that together, but I "think" we'll be running past your area somewhere in the general vicinity of lunch time. Just checked. We'll be pulling into the Gulf Shores/Pensacola West KOA on the 7th and out on the 8th. How close are you to that? If we get in early enough on the 7th I just might drop the trailer and dead-head someplace to meet up.

Tom, that campground is only 18 minutes west of me! I've been wanting to check that place out anyway, so what might be a better plan is to just meet there, if you don't mind me invading your space for little while.
That way we won't have to worry about finding a place with a big enough parking lot for you to get in either.

Check out a product called Temp-Coat for your heat reflective coatings. It is not a bridging or high elastomeric coating, only about 60% if I recall correctly, so something like a roll on truck bed liner (not spray cans) will help to seal up any cracks or holes. There is another product in my notes specifically for RV roofs and if I find it, I will edit this post.

Hennessey has certainly stepped up their game in recent years. Of course it helps to have people like John Heinricy working for you. They are not the only ones building "new" Ford Excursions and I guessing this one may be a bit less expensive for those so inclined:

Last year I came across a website that was building Excursions, and I think this was it.
These probably are cheaper, especially since you are providing the base truck for them to start with. I wonder what they can do with my 2004 F250 XLT with 102,000 miles on it?
