Portrait Shots (show us your best)

Inside photo with some pretty good available light from skylights. His name is Corky and he makes tires. Shot with sorta high ISO (1000) cause I wanted to get some background in focus, I was at f/6.3. Was shooting with a Canon 5D Mk II - 24-70L glass. Little bit of post through Lightroom.

This is how that last photo was used:

Now you know why I centered the subject in the frame.

Thanks,

Ok here is one I shot last week for an advertising campaign. Lots of post on this though. I used available light as well as fill flash on this.

1) Original uncropped shot right out of the camera:

2) Cropped for ad space, toned, and heavily retouched:

3) Photo placed in ad:

Nice work. I like how the Corky shot turned out too. Interesting to see the thought process and steps taken when the final product is planned for an ad. Thanks for sharing the process.

One of my wife while I was trying out some different lighting techniques

One single hot light positioned to camera right, about 7' up with a softbox attached. Canon 5DMKII with Canon 70-200 f/2.8L Lens. ISO 400, 1/60th @f/2.8

I have to get me one of them....

The hot light and softbox, not your wife. :sombrero:

What a good sport Cindy is. Nicely shot Pat.

Thanks Pat! And great picture too- Cindy is perennially young. :)

I love the100mm- it seems to pick up exactly what I want everytime.
