I figured I ought to submit this photo of my 1997 Geo Tracker and my Lifetime Tent Trailer on the Deer Valley (Mokolumne Corridor) Trail in the Sierra Nevada range:

You didn't by chance get banned by SS did you?:) That's a nice A1. Did you paint the body and underside?

I sometimes suffer from censorship hating.. I don't like it. I sanded down the body and primed it twice., then wet sanded it. I then laid 2 coats of sand color on the exterior and light brown on the interior. Under-body was pretty clean, just power washed it.

People get along a lot better over here (for the most part) and they enjoy the fun of modifying trailers (my new-found hobby) too! I really like how that A1 turned out. The solid green cover gives it a nice look. I'm selling my black and tan A1. It's just too big! Maybe you have seen my "Trailer of Two Cities" thread. Much happier with the A2.

VikingSigns, that looks like a terrific set up. Love all the kitchen work surfaces. Too bad you had to photoshop in that toy model Jeep though. I can tell its not real in the photo because its way to shiny :)

vikingsigns,

Where does the table store when not in use? How do you have it attached to the side of the trailer. Does it come together fairly easily and quickly at camp?

That is some sweet looking cooking space.

Hi Series1Rangie, thanks for your interest. It's not exactly ready to go with a push of a button, but it is pretty simple and efficient. I have to store the three shelf sections flat, inside the trailer on the carpeted floor, then all other gear goes on top. I'm in the sign business and the shelves are cutoff material from sign jobs. They are an aluminum/plastic/aluminum sandwich, 10mm thick, and weigh nearly nothing. The (six) shelf brackets are stored in a duffle bag inside the trailer as well. They are hinged square tube and fit into uni-strut brackets which are welded to the trailer frame. The brackets easily attach with a quarter twist of a knob. The shelves sit on the brackets with pins but can be secured with a nut as well. One person can roll out the awning, attach the shelves (counter top) and have running water in the sink in about 10 to 15 minutes, which is quicker than setting up my Costco tent I might add.

And just about everything about this trailer originated on this website. Talented folks here!

Area52, that's a nice setup. The trailer looks great with your Jeep.

Thanks,

However, it's too light for sustained off road use, at least for where I plan to go.

I bought it from a fellow Jeeper and overall, it's helped me figure out what I'll need to factor in on a scratch built effort, as I consider the box size perfect for my needs.

I took it down some washboard desert road a few weeks ago to see how it would function.

At around seven miles, the right fender was falling off and I was concerned that the structural integrity of the frame would be compromised after a sustained pounding.

I'm building a similar size, but on heavier tubing with shocks as soon as I get my garage wired for the welder I just purchased.

It makes a great little around town trailer and tows well at high speeds.
