Also with the winch on a receiver in the front, you can only do straight pulls, as it cant take side load pulls. Base not strong enough.

Had to add the roof rack for a weekend camping trip with 2/3 of kids and the dog.

What kind of roof rack is this? How is it mounted?

It's a Little Guy and it was just delivered a couple of days ago.
I'm afraid it's a bit on the heavy side; I wasn't expecting quite so much armor... ...our first trip will be this upcoming weekend and I hope the JK is up to it.

We bought a Silver Shadow this year and used it on a three week road trip from VA to UT/NV/AZ this summer. It towed well and only in the Rockies I had to go back to third gear and see the big trucks passing us by. I drive a 2011 JKU 6 speed manual ... I love the Silver Shadow with its all birch interior and the small kitchen - it is definitely an upgrade from a tent

2012 in Sahara Tan

Traded an 08 in Rescue Green (love that color) for a 2012 and the new motor! Night and day power difference plus I have a dynomax exhaust and an Airaid CAI.
