Well I've been lurking here for a while but my recent unemployment has given me lots of spare time so I thought I'd post up.
I've got a '99XJ with just a rear add-a-leaf to level things out

Just a recent poser shot

You don't have to be a rocket scientist, at your local auto store, buy a hand throttle installation kit, $12 bucks, pull the black vent off the tailgate and look at the pawl operation, as you push the tailgate access button and you can see where you have to attach, the shortened cable from the KIT handle, then do some measurements and drill an access hole for the handle

the outside button operates a PUSH access and you can set up a PULL access system

None of the auto mfgs offer an inside latch, because of CHILDREN DANGER

you can figure it out, without to much effort-Good luck

Land Rover Discoveries have a latch for the rear door on some models. Some models come with rear jump seats so this is a necessity, there is even a child lock to prevent a child from opening.

That looks an awful lot like the 2nd door handle in my 1st Gen 4Runner. I didn't even know it was there for the first year I owned the truck HAHAHAHA

Cheers

Thats a cool roof rack, what kind is it?
Assuming you mean mine...
Its just a simple custom built rack using square tubing and thick fencing, for gates and the like with a single cross piece to support the spare. All bolted to Quick and Easy clamps.
Its pretty useful, I can get two spare tires, a weeks worth of firewood and probably three five-gallon gas cans up there.

There are some zip ties here and there to cut down the rattles. The black bracket towards the back in the second picture is a mount for a mini basketball hoop. Its great for camping :D

Also makes a great picture taking platform

I see a lot of XJs, not a lot of Kjs. Looking for ideas to build a 04 sport up.

As an '03 KJ owner, I can tell you that there is not nearly as much aftermarket support for the KJ as there is for the XJ. There are several lifts available with the most recommended being the Frankenlift from All J's. Jeepin By Al has some bigger lifts that still maintain the IFS. The weakest point on the KJ for offroad is the front differential housing. A lot of folks have broken the housing by bouncing a front tire in the air and grabbing good traction when it comes down. If you haven't already, check out the L.O.S.T. board. Lot's of buildup info there.

Lost is how I found this site, Looking to make my Kj more of a expedition type vehicle, changing careers to archaeology. Looking for racks and best way to build it up in that regards.
