Post Pic's of your Jeep

I love this site! So much info on here and the pictures are awesome. Here is my Jeep. It is an '83 CJ7 with 33x12.50 Goodyear MTR's. The engine is a 258 with Clifford intake and a Holley 4 barrel carb and headers. It has a T-176 transmission and twin sticked Dana 300. I hope to build it be as reliable as possible. I do moderate trail riding and use the Jeep for hunting and backwoods camping. Oh yea, it is affectionately called the Infidel.fall jeep.jpglabor day 013.jpg

And at the other end of Jeeping... she only managed to get stuck once (on the beach Pyramid Lake Nv.)
I was with my parents when we bought it new from the factory in 68 it's a 67 concept Jeepster has a couple different things on it from the factory. And no it won't be lifted..ever LOL. Just thought I would give some of you a flashback. We took it all over the place when we lived in Reno 69-70 the only difference was one size up bias ply snow tires. Never was into bouncing off boulders..that why it still has rockers.

This is absolutely beautiful! I love the history too.

Very jealous of that MJ, thats exactly how I'd build one up if I could.

Itd be a simple build, spring over in the rear, 5.5" lift up front, arb, 8k winch, 35s, and hack about a foot off the bed :ylsmoke:

But she may be on her way out to finish my cj5/6 project next year. heres crappy MS paint rendering of the end result of my cj5

Picked up my 09 JK a month ago, did some minor things, just going to drive it for a little while before any major modifications (famous last words, lol)

Cool, thanks for the info, I have 60,000 on stock stuff and want to keep the stock wheels and tires but get the suspension to perform a little better.

My 2001 XJ

Here's my 2001 XJ. It is still stock at the moment. This is one of my favorite pics of it from the best trip I've ever had. We went on a end of summer vacation to the UP in August for a week. We spent a day exploring around High Rock Bay on the Keweenaw. It performed much better than I ever thought possible for stock.

Love the Jeepster.

Looks great - Original paint?

The only things NOT from the factory(sorry had to capitalize not I've been told to many time that I'm wrong LOL) is tires, things that have been painted/ undercoated orange (it was a 70's thing) and the engine had to be worked on ( ring problem) and the guys did me a favor by reprinting it CAT green(not happy about it) and the red breather. I've had to touch up some garage rash over the rear wheel and the front edges of the hood but that's it. The top has had it now so this summer she gets a new top made..not a black best top. I'll have to anti up for a custom white one. Checked on it last year and ouch! Over a grand...ok 1400.. Thanks for the compliments!

I remember going down to Toledo with my parents and going down a line of Jeeps that we could buy. If they didn't sell they were going out of the country. Our choice was between a 6 and the Jeepster so I guess we saved a Jeep from slow death in South America.

(The jeep hasn't been in Reno since 71 it's just one of those tourist plates...LOL ) one of these day I have to scrounge up and scan in the pics from the ghost towns and the mountain run we did back then. Rawhide Nv actually had some building left back then!
