As for the top... have you asked around on the JCCA site? I know those guys had gotten together to work with a top maker to have some turned out. Not cheap but FWIR the quality was top notch and the actual value comes out in that.
And are you still running the factory baby brakes and non power assit? Wow! Ballsy!
Sucks the shop painted over the factory engine color. That is a very difficult color to match, a bone of no small contention in the Jeepster world.

Nice. We make a yearly ride from down here to Harlan. Best wheeling on the east coast with Tellico gone now.

Somewhat new to the site, love all these great Jeeps!.. We are a Jeep family, I play wiht a 94 YJ, lots of work on it... my Wife drives a 03 Liberty, my Daughter has fun in her 98 TJ, and my son will soon be driving around in a 1949 Willies Truck that has been "worked" a little... and needs a little more... Love getting LOST, as part of LOST Jeeps So Cal club...
And a 87 Humvee just for fun...
