My '83 CJ-7. Brought in home in boxes and rebuilt every nut and bolt on it. Currently rolling on 37/12.5s with a 304. I've got a rebuilt 360 just begging for a Howell conversion and looking for a home, but dang I'd sure like to have a Jeep made in this century for a change. I've had a '66 Gladiator, '79 Cj7, '80 Cj5, this '83 Cj7, '88 Grand Wagoneer that was in 4 Wheeler Mag, and a '80 J20 thats currently part way through a Cummins swap.

Picked up this 2005 X today. Has 47,000 miles on it and not one scratch. Looks new inside and out. First thing is to change out wheels and dechrome this thing. Plus putting up for sale my 1997 Jeep wrangler SE that I've had for 14 years.

I some times want to get into this century also, but then something needs to be fixed and I don't have the tools to fix it. At that point I realize I should just say old school! Nice jeep man! What trans are you running? CJ's are my favorite for simplicity.

Or go 10 years "without a scratch". Hell, my '07 Outback has more time off road than than Jeep. The OP needs to get those street tires off and correct that situation!
