Lump that's how I like to get away , hidden from all the grind ! You my friend have it right in my opinion.
Why go through the trouble and expense of creating the perfect for you expedition rig just to show up at expo events , which I do two per year or to be a mall crawler.
Get out and away from it all spend a couple weeks alone with your own thoughts and adventures !

I use my ZJ for a mix of long road trips to kayak races, usually camping out of as a way to save $$, but also for some local trail running. My build is a compromise with a 2" BB, 31x10.50 ATs, home built bumper and winch.

Thanks, your comment made my day!

Greetings!

Been here a while, just coming from a different subforum (Other). I used to do backcountry day trips in my lifted Subaru Forester softroader...

But I just picked up a replacement for the Forester last weekend:

I call him the Jeepenwagen. Base model Wrangler Unlimited on 29" tires with two options, Automatic transmission and a hardtop. 33" tires and rock sliders will be the first mods before I take it to the local trails for a proper break-in. I'm confident that everything the Subaru could do, this one can do better.

Welcome to the Jeep world, I think you'll enjoy the upgrade!
