our excursion rig

Our test run for our home modified (total cost $1200) excursion trailer exceeded all of our expectations. It followed our Rubi wherever we pointed it. The rotating lunette ring and pintle hook make all the difference. As our camping gear/galley is all very light, the total weight of our loaded trailer, with firewood for 5 days, is less than 400 lbs, so it is very easy to pull. Leaving the 1st of May for 5 days @ Arches NP, and 14 days in Canyonlands NP.. If you spot me, stop by and say Hi!

'97 Cherokee

I have owned this Jeep since '98. It started life with me stock and performed well. However, as I got into offroading it started to grow. It first had a 2 1/2 lift with 31" tires. Which took me to Alaska and Mexico. Now it has a 5" lift and 33" tires. I would love to do more overlanding, but the Jeep needs some work before longer trips are attempted. My daughter is helping me with my post and wants to add some of the fun faces. :Wow1::jumping:

The Cherokee is no longer. I will be planning a build using someother vehicle. Currently the plan is to slightly build our Ford Expedition and buy the wife a car. We will see how that goes.

EDIT: We purchased an '05 Tundra. The build will be slow due to funds.

Last weekend on the way home from the Phoenix Art Museum after viewing the Ansel Adams Exhibit (everyone should go see this). Four Peaks overlooking Roosevelt.
