Awesome! Easily in my top 3 for the whole thread. My dad had a '79 Cherokee Chief. It was the first vehicle I remember riding in, so I have a soft spot for the old FSJ's.

My new xj

Been lurking for awhile finally got another xj to play with

will start a thread soon, just got her running and new tires! I'm pretty excited about it! :wings:

Don't laugh! It's what I have and it does better than most people expect it to. Sure I'd rather have a Rover... but for my current situation, this works.

New rig

It's my everything jeep. Wanted to build it to crawl with as well as multi week overland trips. It's a work in progress as any project is but it's getting there. From bone stock here it is now.

Dude, that's a great looking JK!
Does that rack prevent you from using the freedom panels? I just ordered a Gobi because I want to be able to take off the roof and leave the rack/lights on. I've had a Yakima on for the past 3 years, but now I'm going to the next level.

Much obliged

Hey thanks man. I built the rack mounts so I could use the rack without the top installed. The rack is the ARB 84" long version and it's perfect. It sits about a half inch off of the hard top. As far as the freedom panels go, I have to lift the rack up a little to get the panels off. But it can be done. I would be stoked to post some more detailed pics on a more appropriate thread.

BEAUTIFUL Jeep, Walt. Are those Fox Racing shocks I see?

By your area code, I'm guessing you're in NC. Got any local vendors to recommend?
