Hi folks,
I'm brandnew to this forum, but I drive Land Rover since 1996.
As I love pictures too, here just a few from my very first Land Rover Series3 and what came after...
Carawagon: I got this truck in trade for a AR-15 (rifle), unfortunately I didn't know what I've got and sold it for a few bucks after spotting some tiny holes in the frame
Then a year later I found a 1979 Series3 6pot, I drove this Truck about 6 years, France, Greece, Germany etc. And also used it as a Dailydriver in Bern Switzerland, always having trouble with the engine...
after an Olivetree jumped in front of my truck :friday:
Around 1999 I bought this beautiful 2 door with low mileage but a "strong" transmission for CHF 3000.-- , it was modified to pull 6 ton trailers, it also had an airbrakesystem (yellow and red) for airbraked Trailers.
Switzerland was asking CHF 1000.-- a year only for this capability to pull heavy loads. So I took the airbrake out.
Max speed was due the lower gear max 120 km/h
Vrin Switzerland
Corfu Greece, where I sold the truck around 2003 for 900 euros, as much as I know it's still driving around in the Ermones-Region on Corfu-Island.
2008 Moving to Canada
My 1995 softdash LWB County 4.2L, I traded this one in 2010 for a very hardcore 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Crewcab Longbed Cummins 24V, the Dodge was a very good Truck, but I needed something from Land Rover again. ;-)
On Canusa-Road in Bebe QC / Derby Line VT. Left of the yellow line is USA, the right belongs to Canada :smiley_drive:
Since a few weeks "Pebbles" has a new Colour, I still had a gallon of this "beige" left over, and some time to do the Job, as there was construction holidays here in Canada.
That much for the moment, Chris
