This sums up the weekend really, 1 shiney D3, up against loads of Defenders.

The D3 came in 19th out of nearly 50 in our class. So there are a few Defender owners a bit annoyed that a near standard car with Duratrac's and a sump guard placed higher than their own cars.

Sounds like my Subaru STI the first race I took it to. Stock vehicle on street tires, came in the middle of the pack. But I think the important thing is that I beat all the people who told me their car was faster because of XXXX modification.

Awesome!!

Disco RTT Mount Option 3

Tepui Kukenam with four cross bars. Bolted to rear two, opens fwd.
Pros; No need for support ladder (which now doubles as great mini ladder around house), truck can be moved to level w/o hassle, and in theory can be set up and used without ever contacting ground.
Cons; Eats up roof rack space, and the entry climb requires some basic gymnastic skills.

Lots of people slide the tent forward, then fold it out over the bonnet. Your ladder then contacts with the brush guard (see, now you have an excuse to get one) and you still have the rack space available behind the tent. The way you have it though, your tent is more stable which is nice.

Last Tuesday morning:

I met friends at 05:30 Saturday morning for the 5 hour drive to the camp site. These photos were taken on Sunday:

It was an intense week, and I still have a few kinks to work out, but it felt really good to take the truck out for an ~800km weekend and have it actually work.

Hi from Costa Rica. This is my Discovery 4 2012, powered by a SDV6 biturbodiesel 3,0 L engine that brings 250 Hp an a huge amount of torque of 600 Nm at 2000 RPM. I'm very pleased with it :smiley_drive:
