First time hereMMMMMMMMMMMMgreat site!! Here's a photo of the Mercedes 240D engine in my 1960 SII 88. It's in the truck courtesy of an adapter plate from Jim Young/SeriesTrek/MercedesRover. Runs like a dream, 28mpg, will hopefully last me the rest of my life!

Here's a few pics of mine. So sad.

That last one sums it up.

Full album link.

I'm looking for another 1989 Range Rover. All my suspension, front bumper/winch and rock sliders can swap over to another one. The Inti roof rack needs a lot of help.

Oh yeah, I survived uninjured.

NICE! I got one of Jim's adapter plates and I just picked up a 76 240d (kinda fun in itself, I'm tempted to restore it instead of take it apart ;) ) I'd love to see more pics if you got 'em!

Actually, I don't think I've posted any pics of my truck on this thread.

I'm glad that you are ok. Sorry to hear about the Rover, very sad indeed. So, whats the story?

CJ, I have tons of photos from bare frame up...you're in for quite an adventure, but the end result is a great truck. Jim is a great resource, about a year ago he and I were sharing emails on a daily basis. I can forward any photos that you would like, motor mounts, plumbing, oil cooler, radiator, etc, etc.

Yeah, you won't find anything on the Inti Racks online, and what is there is out of date and they can't get them.

If you ever see one, BUY IT. Awesome racks. Mine will live again. I'm hoping to get 8 new legs and 1 mounting clamp out of Venezula, the rest I can replace or have fabricated.

Driving too fast, took a 90 degree turn too hard. Stupid. Entirely my fault and would have been completely avoidable by not driving stupid.

It was a 3/4 roll. I turned left and put it up on two wheels and over it went on to the passenger side, then on to the hood/windshield/roof coming to a rest on the driver's side. I unbuckled my seat belt and stood up where the windshield used to be. Every body panel is bent/damaged, the body itself is bent over to the drivers side and backward. Body frame mounts are bent. The rest of the glass survived. The top of the radiator was bent back into the fan rendering it undrivable.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune and I am glad that you are okay. I can honestly say that I know how you feel.

Wow. It's like losing a member of the family, isn't it?
