This is a great thread for many reasons. Mostly inspiring but also very cool to see what others have done/are doing.

Disclaimer: I have yet to go through all of it but I will (somehow I just found this thread...there are many here like it but this one's unique).

A friend who knows my interest in efficient storage/sleeping solutions for expedition camping sent me this link about a guy in Alaska who did his own homebrewed storage/sleeper. It's not great but it does offer some clever ideas for DIY. I hope it's not a duplicate...

A friend just showed that to me, there are definitely some similarities between his and some of the builds on here.....I think the Skateboard bearings and 1" tube being probably the first to come to mind....

A Jimny is spacious! :)

Hello!

Here is what I did in my Jimny this winter and spring. Wanted to be able to use it as a camper with sleeping and storage for at least a couple of nights. The most I slept in it for six nights in a row. At a campsite so no hardcore stuff. :)

My Attempt At A Drawer System

So I have gotten allot of great ideas from this thread and from IH8MUD forum. Here is what I have gotten so far for my 200 series LC. I used 30" slides and the left side will be where my ARB fridge is going. Almost done. I only get a couple of hours a day to in the garage to keep going on it when I get home from work. Chuckbox is next up

can the decking (for lack of better word) accept a point load - stepping - and in this picture specifically, getting into the upper level?

@carbon60 - if you haven't glued that up yet some removable/adjustable dividers for the PS long drawer would be a great help in keeping the contents organized. I wasn't originally sure this was worth the extra work, but its very helpful!
