LJ pulls this little pop up just fine as long as I remember it's back there :) We avoid interstate as much as possible and cruise two lanes at 55 in 5th gear comfortably. Average 12-13 mpg, so not much different than without the camper.

We have been tent campers throughout but somewhere along the way, as our little surprise Joe came along, we decided it was time to move up off the ground. He is our third child and the other two are 22 and 18... Life changes, does it not?

We looked at several options that we felt like might work with our camping style and budget... roof top tent, super large tent with cots, even a few motorhomes, etc...
and Ann stumbled upon this little popup. Our trips are usually just a few hours on the road to places we want to explore, ride MTB, fish, etc... This rig at just under 1100 pounds empty, no inside cooking, no a/c. We really use it primarily for sleeping comfortable and helping to tote our gear. Working so far, although we are constantly brainstorming what's next...

Jeeps are great to get you to those remote spots. This picture was below a pass at 11,000 ft. elevation. No one was anywhere nearby. (Except for possibly bigfoot!)

Or just along a Colorado river.

I've also added an off-road box trailer which will be going on it's first camping trip next week!
