I am interested in seeing how you all use your jeep(s) for camping. I am looking forward to doing more camping with the family next summer in our JK.

Do you use a roof top tent?

Sleep in the jeep?

Use a trailer?

Pull a pop-up camper trailer?

Also, locations of where you been would be great.

Please post pictures of your jeep camping setups to give myself (and hopefully others) ideas for next summer!

Normally use a tent because of family, but when it was just me and kids (no wife) and trying to move light through the mojave trail I pulled the car seats out each night and we just slept in the Jeep. It's pretty tight though and I don't think I'll be doing that anymore because my kids sure aren't getting any smaller.

We use a Oz Tent Jet tent. For now we haul everything in the XJ but just bought a M-416 that will be on the road soon to haul all the gear and free up room inside the Xj for just us the Dog and gear that is always in the jeep.

We had a Conqueror Compact that we dragged behind our JK Wrangler for 3 years.
Camped with a bunch of Jeepers that did it their own way...

...there's really no "wrong way" to camp as long as you're enjoying yourself...

This is how I camped with my TJ through the Americas:

That's Lake Titicaca in the background.
I'm in Peru, the far mountains are Bolivia.

I slept inside the ZJ once. Never again. After a long day on the trail the last thing I want to do is unpack all the gear and sleep inside a dusty vehicle.
