Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

Hi all! After lurking for ages I decided I ought to join in the fun. Some beautiful rigs are in this thread, I'll add my baby to the mix.

A few years back I picked up this 1998 Gen 2.5 with rear locker and ~150k miles. Did a variety of basic maintenance to get it up and running well, then cranked the torsion bars and swapped shocks, mounted some 32" Cooper Discoverer STTs, and pulled out the rear seats to build a sleeping platform and drawer system in the back. Also painted the wheels blue and did a variety of other fun little projects throughout.

I can't remember all the trips I've taken her on, but we've explored much of the Southwest. Perhaps I'll post a few belated trip reports later, but for now, here are a few of my favorite pics!

Hopefully they dont write her off... drives a bit off now, poor girl had to get towed away. Mate was probably doing 70 when he hit me, in a 100 zone during peak hour so traffic was at a stand still.

SoCal Drive Holy Jim Canyon


About 25 miles of some easy offroad in Southern California. Most was 2wd. Threw it in 4LLC and 4HLC on a few parts. That traction control is no joke. First time out in the wilderness for my new ride. Beautiful day here.

It took me quite some time to look thru all this thread and I found many interesting pajs and montys here.
Finally it's my first post on EP and here is my 2002 Montero III.
The car was baught in order to make me able to travel to hard-to-get places for camping and outdoor recreation.

Man, I love that roof top hammock set up. RTH! Do you have the details of your roof rack and frame mounts documented anywhere?
I am sure I am not the first to ask, how do you open your liftgate from the outside when you run that jerry can set up?
