Hey y’all.
Just towed this ‘87 manual home for $600. Engine is well over 250k miles with a a blown head gasket. Might have it rebuilt based off of the ridiculous prices I’m getting for a new/used 2.6L.
Other than that, she’s got some good bones. Can’t wait to get ‘er running.

Do it - and join up on the Starion/Conquest facebook groups as they are VERY familiar with the engine - albeit they have the turbo version, for all intents and purposes a lot is the same.
 
Camped next to these guys in Moab a few weeks ago. From Venezuela from what I understand. Didn't talk to them much but did talk to their friend Alex from California (originally from Venezuela) who was with them in his R.O.E Jeep Wrangler. Sounds like they shipped the truck from Venezuela to Houston, TX and were making the rounds across the SW USA and then back through Central America.
