I'm in San Diego. The big rock is in the area called Jamul ( pronounced as Ha-mul) and it is called "The pancake rock". The trail (for my Australian friends - the track
) leading to it is now very technical due to erosion (a lot of fun). The footage at the very beginning of the video and all the areas with pine trees was taken at Big Bear mountain.
It is worth taking the 1k hard top option because you can sell it for at least $1400 (sold my for $1700). If one to buy a hart top by it self from a dealer they are almost $4000, after market retailers $2000. In my case, I bought a demo model for dirt cheep and the hardtop was part of the package (no soft top).
The music is by Vieux Farka Touré. I found it by chance while surfing internet for royalty free music. I'm sorry but I can't recall the website.
I am on 35" tires and 15" wheels with 3.5" lift kit.
